OBITUARY ARCHIE N. WRIGHT At the Veterans Hospital in Ste. Anne de Bellevue on Friday, September 30, 2005 in his ninetieth year. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Rose Smith and survived by his children Peggy Powell (the late Raymond), Bob Wright and Janet Wright (Peter Gorman), his five loving grandchildren, Ross Whitehead (Lori), Kim Marcon (Rob), Brian, Ashley and Hayley Wright and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Jimmy (Jeanne of Florida) and his sister Marjorie Mary of Long Island, N.Y. Born in Quebec City, he was in his lifetime a fur trader, a decorated Military Officer WWII.O.L., Croix de Guerre 1940 Belg.; a business executive, retired after forty-five years with Clarke Transportation & Associated Companies; a sometime editor and publisher of a WWII RCAMC Unit History; adept with the salmon and trout rods, so-so on the fairways and putting greens of Kanawaki Golf Club and, suspected by some, as having a green thumb. Many thanks to his kind and gracious neighbours, Barb and Dave Corbett, Barbara Ross and Grant, Bob Watson and Marcel Lebel. A memorial service will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home Chapel, 222 Highway 20, Pointe Claire (exit 49, Cartier), 514-483-1870 on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service. Special thanks to the staff of 12B at the Ste. Anne's Veterans Hospital for their kindness and care.
