SINNETT, Viktoria Josephina Irene Peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday October 8, 2005. Irene Krautscheid, age 62 years. Beloved wife of Lt. Col. Earl Sinnett. Loving mother of Capt. Dave Kruger (Sharon). Devoted grandmother of Samantha. Cherished sister of Joseph, Karl and Hans of the Netherlands and sister-in-law of Dr. Bill Sinnett (Helen) of St. Catharines. Predeceased by her brother Willem. Born and raised in Heerlen, the Netherlands, she pursued a career in catering when in 1981 she married Lt. Col. Earl Sinnett and came to the USA. Following him to his postings in the USA, Belgium and Germany, they finally retired in Ottawa. Irene had a lifelong passion for culinary skills, which she demonstrated to all her invited guests to her home. She will be remembered as a gracious, charming and skillful hostess. A special thank you to Dr. Jane Batten, Dr. Bormanis, Dr. Cross and the staff of the 5th floor of the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for their outstanding care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to attend a Service in Memory of Irene to be held Thursday October 13, 2005 in the Chapel of Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
