AITKEN, Gladys Angela (nee des Rivieres) Peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2005 in her 86th year. Predeceased in 1976 by her beloved husband, Bill. Loving and beloved mother of Bill, Pam (Omer), Denise and devoted son-in-law Fred. Forever loved by her grandchildren Fred (Karen), Jane (Peter), Jill (Dan) and Ben (Jen) who will always cherish memories of growing up next door to Grandma's farm. Her legacy will live on in her great-grandchildren Kelsea, Katie, Matt, Haylee and Andrew. To honour her wishes, a private family service was held. In keeping with Mom's love of animals, donations in her memory may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society (101 Champagne Avenue South, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 4P3).
