PEMBERTON, Doris Doris Pemberton, 100, of Ottawa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Garry Armstrong Long Term Care Home in Ottawa. Born in South Dublin, Ireland she was the daughter of the late William and Freda (Kraft) Crawford. She spent her early years in Manchester and Southport, England, emigrating to Canada in 1949 residing in Cornwall, Ontario, Moncton New Brunswick, Toronto and Ottawa. She was an accomplished cook and homemaker and excelled at knitting. She traveled frequently, especially to Barbados and Yorkshire, England. Doris is survived by her son Pete, and his wife Ruth, of Old Saybrook CT, her grandsons Robert of Ledyard CT and Sean of Kingston, Ontario, her granddaughter Ellen of Hamden CT and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Fred in 2003, her son Michael and her brothers and sisters. There are no funeral services and no memorial contributions.
