GRANT-PITTS, Beatrice Beatrice (Lapointe) Pitts. At her residence on Tuesday October 25, 2005. She was 92. Beloved wife of the late Garnet R. Pitts and by a former marriage the late Clint Grant. Dear mother of Barbara Bemish (Brian) of Ottawa and Wayne Grant (Freda) of California. Step-mother of Garnet John Pitts (Sue) of Ottawa, June Menard of Cornwall and Deborah Quantz of Ingleside. Survived by 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey Menard, Hailey Quantz, Stephanie (Winston), and Kristine Pitts, Tracie, Rod, and Sean (Shelley) McDonald and 2 great-grandchildren, Tessa McLeod and Jade McDonald. Also survived by her special nephew, Claude Menard. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Agnes (Clement) Lapointe, and 5 sisters, Evelyn, Agnes, Viola, Edna, Adelaide and one half-brother, Anthony. Friends may call at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 29, 2005 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Rite of Committal, Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
