Verna ESTEY

JENKINS, VERNA ETHEL (ESTEY) Of Granby, CT, USA passed away on October 10, 2005 at the age of 102. Born in Zealand, New Brunswick on December 20, 1902, Verna was the daughter of the late James and Zella (Brewer) Estey. Verna married Vernon Stillwell Jenkins on November 10, 1926 and moved to East Hartford, CT. After three years, they moved to Granby, CT. Vernon passed away in 1981 and Verna continued to live in Granby until 3 weeks before her death. She is survived by two sons, John Jenkins (Linda) of North Granby, CT and James Jenkins (Cecelia) of New Hartford, CT, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Darwood Estey (Anna), Zealand, one sister, Ethel Hazlett, Fredericton and sister-in-law, Julia Estey, Fredericton, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Verna was pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years, her parents, three sisters: Delia Brewer, Gladys Estey and Ida Estey; five brothers: Eugene Estey, Oscar Estey, Ossie Estey, Carney Estey and Cedric Estey.
