William Harvey Thoman February 15, 1944 - October 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Chapel It is with great sadness that the Thoman family announces the passing of Bill on October 30, 2005 at the age of 61 years following a courageous battle with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Verna (Griggs); his children, Glen (Jacqueline) Thoman of Toronto, ON and Holly (Dean) Solowan of Surrey, BC and grandchildren Paul and Lauren of Toronto and Shawn and Kyle of Surrey; one brother Jim (Shirley) Thoman of Phoenix, Arizona and one sister Shirley Moffat of Edmonton. Bill graduated from Jasper Place Composite High School in 1962 and received his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta in 1966. Bill worked in land management for the City of Edmonton from 1970 to 1976. Bill enjoyed the seventeen years from 1976 to 1993 that he was employed by George Wimpey Canada Ltd., especially from 1991 to 1993 in San Diego. Bill formed a successful land development business, Master Property Consultants Group, with his partner, Doug King in 1993. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., at McClure United Church, 13708 - 74 Street, Edmonton. At Bill's request, he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6G 1Z2.
