Mr. James "Jim" Williamson Kennedy April 11, 1923 - November 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Ancaster Chapel) Peacefully at Wentworth Lodge, Dundas on November 1, 2005, Jim Kennedy passed away, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 61 years to Edna (Shaw). Loving father of James and Elizabeth, Clifford and Arlene, Richard and Sylvia, Peter and Dianne, Robert and Cynthia and Ross and Debbie. Sadly missed by grand-children Katherine and Christopher, Michael, Steven, Sarah, Derek, Bobbi-Jo, Myles, Jamie, Adrian, Jared, Dana, Mya, Nathan, Brandon, Shannon, Kyla, Heather and Laura, and great-grandchildren Raheema and Kaidance. Dear brother of John and Shirley, Bill and Joan, Alfred (1994) and Doreen Fruhwirth. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Navy, H.M.C.S. Medicine Hat, during WWII. Jim and Edna formerly resided in Spring Valley, Ancaster where Jim was an avid sportsman. He retired from Procter and Gamble in 1984. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff, chaplains, volunteers, residents at Wentworth Lodge for their support, kindness and care for Jim. Friends will be received at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Ancaster Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
