Emma "Em" Mildred Molson (née Sullivan) August 10, 1922 - November 04, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Gordon F Tompkins Funeral Homes (Township Chapel) Emma Mildred Molson (nee Sullivan) died quietly at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, 4 November 2005 with her sons present and big-band music playing. Loving wife of the late Stanley Alexander Molson for more than 50 years. Sadly missed by sons Bill (William) and wife Diane, Chuck (Charles) and wife Carol; grandchildren Kimberly Molson-Moore (Warren) of Bath, Lisa Molson-Linton (Kirk) of Ft. McMurray AB, Ann Molson of Toronto and Ben Molson of Kingston, great grandchildren Bronwyn Moore and Talea Moore and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents William Daniel and Mary Jane Olive Sullivan (nee Hill) of Ottawa and by brothers and sisters - Emile (1905-1995), Morris (1907-1963), Elvira (1909-1967), Pearl (1910-1992), Thomas (1912-1960), Howard (1914-1992), Violet (1919-1991) and Olive (1925-2002). Em was proud of her many years with the Whig Standard, retiring in 1987 after 34 years, but returning again and again temporarily, and to conduct tours for school groups and visitors until age 82. Special thanks to the Davies family, to current publisher Fred Laflamme and many friends at the Whig. She gave back to the community in many ways, being involved with the Robert Meek Home and School Association, the Kingston Genealogical Society , the Kingston Historical Society especially the Sir John A memorial ceremonies, Festival of Trees and City Hall tour guides. She was a long time active member of Queen Street United Church and the U.C.W. She was a founding member of the Whig Standard Employees Credit Union and served the Credit Union movement in Kingston for many years. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F Tompkins, 435 Davis Drive , on Tuesday, November 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time for the Service of Remembrance in Our Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment of the urn in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Em may be made to the ALS Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the P.C.C.C. St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care Unit . In the care of Gordon F.
