Ernest Seavers Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on November 4, 2005 at the Riverview Health Centre, Ernest passed away at the age of 71. Ernest is predeceased by his parents Florence and Harry; brother Albert; and son James Ernest “Jimmy”. He is survived by his loving wife Donna; 2 daughters Alana (Jason) and Alison (John); 6 step children Kimmie (Thomas), Jack, Bradley (Margaret), Carl (Kathy), Gordon (Linda), Craig (Maxima) and best friend “Dingo”; numerous nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ernest was an air force veteran serving from 1952 –1958, serving in Germany 1954 to 1956 and during that time he did 2 stints in Rabat, North Africa. After the service he worked for MTS retiring in1993 after 28 years of service. During retirement he joined the MTS Pioneers Bowling League and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #4, St. James Branch. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will follow at St. James Legion, Branch #4, 1755 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernest memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Wpg., MB R3C 2B7.
