Helen J. MACDONALD

Helen J. Ramsey Helen J. Ramsey, 84, of ProTem Health Services and formerly of Wellington Ave. Moncton and West Hartford, Conn., passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 6, 2005. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Beatrice (Geldart) MacDonald. Helen attended Wesley Memorial United Church and was a member of the U.C.W. She was a graduate of Moncton High School and was formerly employed with the Unemployment Insurance Commission in Moncton until 1956; she than moved to Hartford, Conn., where she worked as a contract specialist with Aetna Insurance Co. She was a longtime member of Hartford's Asylum Hill Congregational Church, was very active in the Sunday school, "flower detail," "thrift shop" as well as a literacy volunteer. Helen was denoted "A Living Treasure" in appreciation from her church. She was also active with the human needs center at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Hartford. Helen always looked forward to "coming home for Christmas." She loved to travel, do volunteer work, to dance and to have family and friends around enjoying a good time. Helen will be sadly missed by her sisters, Ruth MacIntyre (Lloyd) and Mavis MacDonald, both of Moncton; brother, Merlyn MacDonald (Marjorie), Peterborough, ON; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas R. Ramsey (1976); brothers, Kenneth, Ernest and Robert; one sister, Gayle Rinzler; one infant sister and one infant brother. No visitation by personal request. Private family service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Interment, Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only.
