Myrtle A. Sandever October 14, 1921 - November 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * SANDEVER, Myrtle A. age 84, of Halifax, formerly of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at home. Born in Brooklyn, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on October 14, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Gladys (Mollison) Redden. Myrtle moved to Halifax during the Second World War to work at the Halifax Dockyards as a dispatcher. At the end of the war she married Roy S. Sandever and devoted her life to her husband and raising four daughters. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great - grandmother. She loved to dance, bowl, read, cook, go on road trips and she loved cats. Myrtle was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters, Linda Palmer, Halifax; Donna Warren, Dartmouth; Sharon Sandever, Halifax; sons-in-law, Robert Warren, Dartmouth; Robert Palmer, Halifax; Lawrence Ranger, Halifax; grandchildren, Ian Palmer, Robyn Palmer-Rodne, Shane Warren, Brent Ranger and Richard Ranger; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Mia, Jeremy, Tristan, Kristin and Jack; sisters-in-law, Pauline Redden, Currys Corner; Stella Redden, Newport Corner; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Roy S. Sandever; daughter, Judith Ranger; brothers, Roy Redden and Earl Redden; sister, Irene ( Martin) Smith; son-in-law, Christopher Melanson. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Burial to follow in Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of one's choice.
