Helen Katheleen MacKenzie (née Gibson) July 18, 1926 - November 11, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) MacKENZIE (Gibson), Helen Katheleen - 79, Dartmouth, passed away November 11, 2005, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Harrisville, N.B., she was a daughter of the late John and Ella (Bulmer) Gibson. She served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Helen enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, gardening and traveling. She treasured the time spent at the family cottage in Shelburne. Above all, her main focus was her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Wendy (Dave) Taylor, Jo Ann (Greg) Huxtable, Sherry (Robert) McVicar, all of Dartmouth; sons, Edward (Margaret), Dartmouth; Randy (Nicole Stevens), Elmsdale; sisters, Marjorie Taylor, Jacqueline Gibson, Moncton, N.B.; brother, Dale Gibson, Salisbury, N.B.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristin, Sean, Sandy, Amanda, Scott, Jeff, Cory, Nolan, Dustin; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George Sinclair MacKenzie; brothers, George Gibson, John Gibson. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m., Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Interment will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow in the funeral home reception centre. Family flowers only.
