James "Big Jim" Barbour Donald August 09, 1935 - November 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) DONALD, James Barbour "Big Jim" - 70, Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 12, 2005, after a brief illness. He was a son of the late Wallace and Annie (Cole) Donald of Alma, P.E.I. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law. "Big Jim" was born in 1935 and served in the RCMP for 40 years. He had two tours with the RCMP Musical Ride. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Blackwood; sons, James, Bridgewater; Scott, Ottawa; daughter, Lori Hards (Eric), Calgary; grandchildren, Ashley and Ian Hards. Family survivors are sister, Jean Turner, Winslow, P.E.I.; John (Marion), Montrose, P.E.I.; Dr. Leigh (Grace), Fredericton, N.B.; Dr. Wallace (Mary Beth), Bedford; brother-in-law, Byron Weeks, Sydney. He is also mourned by several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. He was predeceased by sisters, Rae, Verna, and Isabel. His remains have been cremated. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Reception to follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. Burial at a later date.
