Bob D. Hope, Sr. March 31, 1943 - November 13, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Robert "Bob" Hope Sr. age 62 of Amherst passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at Moncton Hospital, Moncton NB. Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Sydney Seyward and Winnie May (Carter) Hope. Bob received an honorary retirement after serving for over 20 years with the Amherst Fire Department. He worked for the Nova Scotia liquor Commission until his retirement in 1995. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Lorraine (St. Peter); two daughters Leisa and Sydney Claire; two sons Robert Jr. and Adam; two brothers Ronald "Dubby" (June) and Sidney "Tootie"; two sister in laws Pauline and Jean Hope; many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by one sister Jean Hunter and two brothers Sanford and William. His remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting from Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 10 a.m. from Nativity of Our Lady Roman Catholic Church with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
