Mrs. Beatrice Lavinia LaPierre (née Murphy) September 26, 1915 - November 16, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) LaPIERRE, Beatrice Lavinia - 90, Halifax, passed away November 18, 2005, at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James and Thecla (Roma) Murphy. Beatrice moved to West Chezzetcook, met and married the love of her life, Edmund LaPierre. Together they dedicated themselves to the upbringing and care of their daughter Betty. Beatrice enjoyed the love and friendship of family and friends, especially time at the lake. She dedicated her life to the care and well-being of her family. Special thanks to Northwood Home Care for their kindness and help. Surviving are daughter, Betty LaPierre, Halifax; brother, Leo Murphy, Halifax; sisters, Laura Smith and Stella Rose, both of the United States; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Lillian Bellefontaine. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund; brothers, Herbert, Michael, Clarence, Gerald, and Arthur; sisters, Kay MacDonald and Olive Greenlaw. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, November 20. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 22, at 10 a.m. in St. Anslem's Catholic Church, West Chezzetcook. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
