Martin ZIMMER

ZIMMER, Martin, 1930-2005. On Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, Dad was suddenly taken away from us at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 75. A loving and devoted father to his only son Marty Zimmer of Winnipeg. He was a loved Grandfather to Ia n and Tyler and former husband of Anita Garnett of St. Catharines and Anna Zimmer of Hungary. Dad was born on July 23, 1930 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan then relocated to St. Catharines where he was employed at Thompson Products for over 30 years. He was a committed member of TRW's Old Guard Association. Our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Heidehof who took Dad into their hearts and loved him, making him feel at home. He truly felt you were all part of his family. D ad was a kind and gentle man whose outlook on life was always to live each day to its fullest and treat everyone with respect. He was very supportive and provided a listening ear whenever it was needed. Although you will be sadly missed, my memories of our times together will not be forgotten because you were my best pal. LOVE YOU DAD. A private memorial service will be held at the Heidehof for those who were close to him. If so desired, expressions of sympathy or donations may be made to the Be nevolent Society "Heidehof" For the Care of the Aged to further support the quality of life of the residents.
