BIRD, Jack L., After fighting the battle of many illnesses, our loving husband, father and grandfather will be missed more than words can say. On Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, Jack died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. At 69 years of age he held on for as long as he could and now will never be in pain again. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife Mary (nee Robertson) for 49 years. Beloved father of Wendy (Mike) Montanaro and Patti LePage & Chuck T ruchon. Devoted grandfather of Craig and Brian Montanaro and Loretta Norton. Loving brother of Grenville (Verna), Glen (Marie), Erma (Ron) Dack, Earl (Muriel), Bob, Linda (Lloyd) Bull, Sherry Dettman and Judy (Mark) Taylor. Brother-in-law of Doug Rob ertson and Murray (Carol) Robertson. Jack will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was a member of First Baptist Church in Thorold. Special thanks to Dr. Walser-Jebb and the many Doctors and Nurses that have taken care of Ja ck over the years. The family will receive friends at the KARL A. HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. Inte rment at Evergreen Cemetery, Haliburton.
