George Joseph MURRAY

MURRAY, George Joseph, August 19, 1915 - October 19,2005. Died peacefully at Linhaven Home on Thursday October 19, 2005. George was predeceased by his wife Mona (1990), his grandson Michael (1983), his brother Charles and his parents Rose and Charle s. He is survived by his daughter Judy (Rick) Brown and son Glenn (Linda) Murray, his grandchildren Sarah (Keith McConnell), Craig and Glen Brown, Jordan (Barbara) Murray and Jeffrey (Shoona) and Jay (Taude) Plexman. George has been blessed with thre e great grandchildren, Colleen and Kyle McConnell and Mya Plexman. George had a very rich and full life. Although he had a very strong work ethic, he retired early from Welland Iron and Brass so that he could fulfill his passion for golf. In his reti rement George also spent many hours as a volunteer driver and very much enjoyed the people he met. Friends were also a very important part of George's life. As his health failed he missed the good times he had with friends but valued their visits. We will all miss his sharp wit and ready bon mots. A little bit of laughter has gone from this world. A funeral service will be held at NIAGARA FUNERAL HOME, 5647 Main Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario on Friday October 21, 2005 at 11 a.m. Donations in li eu of flowers may be made in George's memory to a charity of ones choice.
