Lilian ONKEN

ONKEN, Lilian - After a long battle with emphysema, Lily passed away on October 28, 2005 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Onken (June 1, 1989). Lily will be very sadly missed by nephew Trevor (Bev) Onken and their children Lynda, Trevor, David and Karie, nieces June Grimmer and Terry Haviland; her closest friends Anita and Bill Quinn and their daughters Suzanne and Alison. Lily has always and will continue to hold a very special place in all our hearts. All of Lily's family back home in England will feel a great loss at the passing on of their sister and aunt. As an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Thorold Lily's absence from the congregation will most surely be very sadly missed by all her friends and fellow church members. A Memorial Service for Lily will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 24 Clair mont St., Thorold on Thursday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. Rev. Doug Robinson officiat ing. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment to follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Lily to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Thorold or the Lung Assoc. would be appreciated by the family.
