VAN DER VALK, Johannes (John) - Passed away peacefully, after a short illness on Sunday, November 6, 2005, in his 77th year, at the Welland General Hospital. Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Fred, John and Neta, Nancy and Ken Read. Opa to 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one foster child. Predeceased by 3 children Carla, Ingrid and Harry. John was employed long term for Prudential Insurance as an agent. He enjoyed early retirement for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends, John was happily married for 57 years to the love of his life. He will be sadly missed by all. John is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St, where a service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to The Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
