VERWEY, Albert Jr. - Passed on November 4, 2005 at home surrounded and loved by his family. Born November 5, 1949 in Amsterdam, Holland came to Canada at age 7 years. Loving husband of Pamela for 35 years; father of Adam (Fiona), Amy and Katharine; grandfather of Katelynn and Ashley. Predeceased by his father Albert Sr. Missed by his mother Meinsje Verwey; sisters Dini, Ellie, Mary and many people who counted Bert as a special friend. Bert graduated from Lakeport Secondary School and Niagara College. He was a surveyor, assistant director of an orphanage in India and for the last 21 years worked as a tradesman at General Motors, a member of C.A.W. Local 199, past warden at the Church of The Good Shepherd and also the family moving and fix-it man. His hobby was cars, his passion British car shows especially with granddaughter Katelynn. Funeral Service was held Monday, November 7, 2005 in The Church of The Good Shepherd, 359 Grantham Avenue at 11 a.m. An expression of love to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made through the funeral home.
