John Alexander FORD

FORD, John Alexander- Beloved husband of 53 years of Annie (Nan) passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 7, 2005 at age 83. Loving father of Susan, and Grandfather of Stephen, Catherine, and Rebecca. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara and survived by his brother Lionel, and sisters Elinor and Norma. John will be fondly remembered by his many loving friends and family. John served in the RAF in WWII and emigrated to Canada in 1947. He taught at R.H. King Collegiate (Scarborough Board of Education) and retired in 1983 to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Long standing memeber of Ulyssean Society and Albainn Society,lifetime member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society and Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club Toronto. John received the Volunteer Service Award in 2000 for 30 plus years of service. Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew's Church on Thursday November 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. located on Simcoe Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Many thanks to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity.
