DOWD, William “Bill“ Harold - Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 80th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gerri (1998). Loving father of Greg Dowd, and Linda Wiens and her husband Ron. Much loved grandfather of David Wiens and his wife Karen. Also survived by his sisters Eleanor (Byron) Mills, Marilyn (Frank) Richardson, brothers Jim (Pat) Dowd, Ken (Della) Dowd and Jerry Dowd, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was enjoying his retirement after a long career at National Grocers where he met his wife Gerri. Bill's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Monday, November 14th from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy without Mass will take place Wednesday, November 16th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association appreciated by the family.
