Florence BROOKS

SOLOMON, Florence (nee Brooks) - After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Florence passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2005 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of 60 years to John Solomon. Loving mother of Marjorie Pratt and the late Lawrence Solomon. She will be missed greatly by her 4 grandchildren Robert Solomon; Jonathan Pratt; Megan Solomon and Kevin Pratt and also her many nieces and nephews. Florence lived most of her life in St. Catharines on Herrick Ave. until 2001 when she moved to Huntsville ON., to live closer to family. She spent those years at Muskoka Landing Nursing Home, where the staff called her Aunt Flo and took wonderful care of her. She was a member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church since she was a young girl. She worked at Herzogs and Parkway Inn for many years. Florence's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service will be held from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 31 Queenston Street. St. Catharines on Tuesday November 15, 2005 at 11 a.m.. Interment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
