PERSIA, Giuseppe “Joe”, Lovingly known as Nonno “P”, At the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Domenica (Dosa) Persia (February 4, 1997). Loving father of Angelo (Denise) Persia, Mary (Larry) Pugliese, Sandra (Tony) Stranges and Helen (Kevin) Perron. Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christine, Cathy (Phil) MacPherson, Michael (Shannon), Mark, Joey, Nancy (Jason) Brock, Natalie, Mark, Louie (Marianne), Anthony, Andrew, David and Ryan and by his great grandchildren Jaxon and Kayla. Dear brother of Clara (Elio) Tolli, Italy. Predeceased by brothers Aristide, Romolo and Benito and sister Ada Tanzilli. Joe will also be missed by his sisters and brothers in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of the Canadian Paperworkers Union Local #84, retiring from the Ontario Paper Co. in 1983 after working for over 28 years. Joe was an avid Thorold Blackhawk fan and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. Joe's family will receive their family and friends at the LAMB-BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent St., Thorold on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen St. S., Thorold on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The Rite of Entombment, Lakeview Cemetery Mausoleum, Thorold. Vigil Prayers for Joe will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Joe to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. - 11/24/2005 - ID7464551
