BOYCE, Melvin A. -Passed away peacefully at Tufford Nursing Home on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Born in San Francisco, California on February 20, 1914 and came to Canada at 2 years of age. Will be lovingly missed by daughter Dr. Gillian Boyce of Bradford, Pennsylvania and granddaughter Ashley Royer of London, ON. Survived by sisters Marion Waldeck of Port Dalhousie, Charlotte Rutz of Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. Beloved husband of the late M. Marjorie Boyce, died February 20, 1980. Son of the late James Armand Boyce and Sarah Evelyn Srigley of Elmvale, ON. Brother of the late Samuel, Edmond, Lawrence, Raymond, and Alida. Served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, where he met his wife. Worked as a painter with McNamara and Reynolds and a Canada Post letter carrier in St. Catharines. Retired in 1974 to enjoy hobbies including fly tying & fishing, gardening, stamp collecting and woodworking. Mr. Boyce is at the Downtown Chapel of the Butler Funeral Home, 33 Duke Street at James Street (behind the courthouse). Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 23 from 12 noon until service time. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2p.m. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
