Amos McLean December 11, 1926 - November 18, 2005 McLEAN, Amos 78 years. Died on November 18, 2005, at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, after a very short illness. Beloved son of his late parents Myrtle (nee Van-derberg) and Forrest McLean. Predeceased by his 3 brothers: Ralph and his wife Ceile, Melville and his wife Dorothy, and Fr. Andrew; and his 3 sisters: Virginia and her husband Harry, Violet and her husband Fred, and Mildred and her husband Jim. Dear uncle, great uncle, great great uncle, great great great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his friend and neighbour Steve and his wife, and other neighbours who helped him in many ways. Amos was a retiree of Bell Canada, and loved golf, bowling, and travelling. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, as your expression of sympathy. Visiting on Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., and Monday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers on Monday 4 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 8:45 a.m. from Janisse Bros - Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue (253-5225), then to St. Alphonsus Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Amos McLean in the Janisse Bros - Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2006. All are welcome.
