James "Dick" Reid Begin March 21, 1927 - November 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * BEGIN……James Reid “Dick” age 78, of Windsor Forks, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on March 21, 1927, in Windsor Forks, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late James and Myrtle (Smeltzer) Begin. Dick, as he was known, enjoyed farming and his numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Kings-Edgehill School, Windsor, and had previously worked many years for Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, caring for the graves of numerous families and cemeteries, throughout Hants County. Dick is survived by his sisters, Sybil “Sue” Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; Vivian Huntley, Windsor Forks; brother-in-law, Tom Bassett, Kendall Heights, Windsor; 24 nieces and nephews, including special niece, Linda Chambers and husband, Robert. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Russell, Harold, and his twin brother, John in infancy; sisters, Alma Bassett and Helen Lunn; sister-in-law, Iris Begin; brothers-in-law, Ralph Lunn and Owen Swinamer. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 24, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in memory of Dick, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice
