Joan Galbraith Joan Galbraith 85, of The Briarlea, Moncton passed away at her residence on Tuesday November 22, 2005. Born in England, daughter of the late Dean and Elizabeth Margaret Grover. Joan attended St. Augustine's and St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Churches and was a member of the War Brides Association. Joan had a strong love for her family and their happiness. Joan will be sadly missed by her daughters, Shirley Fillmore (Darryl) and Carrie Galbraith both of Moncton; sons, Gerald, New Scotland, Phillip (Laurie), Moncton; grandchildren, Kelly Fletcher, Heather Elbourne, David Fillmore, Shaun and Ian Getty, Andrew and Sam Galbraith; great grandsons, Nicholas, Joshua, Oliver; great granddaughter Laona; several nieces and nephews and other family members in England. Predeceased by her husband, Albert (Al) Galbraith, former City of Moncton Councillor (January 2001). In keeping with Joan's wishes there will not be any visiting hours at the Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at The Briarlea, 75 Briarlea Dr. Thursday 1:30 to 3:30pm. Funeral Mass at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church Friday November 25, 2005, 10am. Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the Mass. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill.
