Mrs. Thelma Sybil Donaldson February 21, 1921 - November 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Nanaimo) Recently predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thelma passed away in the home that she loved. Our parents, Thel & Laurie were inseparable, yet when Mum lost the love of her life she showed an amazing but typical resolve to carry on. She lived a life of order but enjoyed the simple pleasures and a good laugh. Despite failing health she remained vibrant and active. Mum was planning for the future. The cutting and sewing of a new pantsuit, the drawing and quartering of a 28 lb. salmon for the freezer and completion of her Christmas cards were underway. Competitive as ever she played a mean game of Scrabble. Survivied by her children, Louvaine and Rick, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild Thelma is sadly missed. At Mum's request there will be no service. Those wishing to remember Thelma please do so in your own way through a charity of your choice or by donating to the Nanaimo Palliative Care Unit.
