Edward Lypchuk June 17, 1937 - November 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home CWO Edward F. Lypchuk, CD (Retired) With great sadness, the family of Ed Lypchuk regretfully announces Ed’s unexpected passing, at home, on November 22, 2005 at the age of 68. He leaves behind his loving wife Arleen of 44 years; children Kim (Mike), David, Cheryl; loving granddaughters, Samantha and Kelcie; his mother Marie Lypchuk; sisters Phyllis (Wayne), and Darlene; brothers Dennis and Donnie (Marlene); nieces, nephews and friends. Ed is predeceased by his father Fred and sister Sylvia. Ed served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 34 years. Ed’s career in the military allowed Ed and his family to live in many locations throughout Canada, establishing many life-long friendships through his always welcoming, warm-hearted, and out-going nature. Ed: husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, best friend, friend, hunter, fisherman, cook, gardner, vintner, avid reader, card player, coffee buddy, loving caregiver, hospitable, honest, honourable, patient, “our loving chief, cook and bottle-washer”. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing to be held one half hour prior to the service and a reception to follow.
