Born in Halifax, he was a son of Richard and Reta (Phillips) Hirtle, Timberlea. Danny was not only employed with DND 25 years as an electrician, but considered his coworkers a second family. His hobbies included hockey and motorcycling. He is survived by his former wife, Karen Hirtle; daughter, Krystal, Sackville; son, Daniel, Hubley; sister, Sheryl (Wayne) Hiltz, Martin's River; brother, Gary, Tantallon; nephews, Ricky and Dennis. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday, memorial service 11 a.m. Monday, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens.
