PARRIS (Talbot), Yvonne Annette - 68, Halifax, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, in Northwood Manor, Halifax. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of Winnie Talbot, Montreal, and the late Robert Talbot. For 38 years, Yvonne had been employed with the Department of National Defense, HMC Dockyard, from where she retired and leaves behind her supportive "Dockyard Family". She is survived by her mother, Winnie; sons, Blair (Barb), New Hampshire; Gerry (Cindy), Halifax; Y. Robert, Toronto; daughters, Princess Halfkenny (Harold), Toronto; Claire Riley, Vancouver, B.C.; June Parris (Manuel Downey), Kim Parris (fiancé, Donald C. Stephenson), Malika Parris (fiancé, Wade Grant), and Macella Maxwell (Roger), all of Toronto; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Robert; her husband, Gerald; several brothers and sisters. Following cremation, visitation will take place 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, January 18, in Atlantic Funeral Home, Bayers Road, Halifax. Funeral service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, January 19, in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, corner of Robie Street and Normandy Drive, Father Gilbert Bertrand, O.M.I., to celebrate. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, followed by a repast in Atlantic Funeral Home family reception centre. Remembrances to the VG Site, QEII, Palliative Care Unit, or Palliative Care Unit of Northwood Manor would be appreciated by the family.
