WOOD, Roy W. At the Perth Community Care Centre, Perth on Monday, October 31st, 2005, Roy W. Wood (teacher and school principal for over 35 years, dedicated member for many years of Branch 244, Royal Canadian Legion, Perth) at the age of 74 years. Roy was the long time friend of Pauline Stewart and former husband of Joanne Wood. He was the loved and respected father of Ron (Jayanna), Darrell and Rick (Svetlana Timtsenko) and dear grandfather of Bryant, Bria and Jayda. Roy will be sadly missed by brother Cecil Wood and sister Louise Salter, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by sisters Martina Hopkins, Gladys Kerford, Muriel Connor and Keitha Phillips and brother James Wood. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street West, Perth, Tuesday November 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. In remembrance, contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
