OBITUARY PROFESSOR PETER CHARLES BRIANT With deep sorrow, our family wishes to announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Professor Peter Charles Briant. Born in London, England on May 3, 1924, passed away on October 31, 2005. After serving as a pilot in the RAF during the Second World War, he graduated from McGill University with a B.Com in 1951. He received his Masters, followed by his Ph.D, from the University of Michigan in 1959. Long time professor of economics in the Faculty of Management at McGill. He was chairman of the Manitoba Development Corporation, Co-Founder and President of Brindon Management Institute, Mayor of Dorval Island, Chairman of Carepoint Medical Centres, Guest Lecturer and director of many companies and an accomplished crossword puzzle solver. Celebrated his sixtieth anniversary this year with his beloved wife Dawn Henderson. Loving father of Peter, Geoffrey, Lynda, Rebecca and her husband Hugh Winters, and Robert. Proud, loving and much loved Grandpa to Kegan, Holt, Chase, and Blythe Winters, Jesse Briant, and Geoffrey Briant Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec, 1434 Ste. Catherine St. W., Suite 500, Montreal, H3G 1R4. Resting at Wray Walton Wray Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W., Montreal. Service in the chapel on Monday, November 7 at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation to follow. "His quick wit and acute intellect will remain with us forever."
