ROSS, Ella We are deeply saddened to announce that on November 7th, 2005, we lost our cherished and beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Ella Gallagher Ross age 93 widow of Colin, her husband of 52 years. Dear mother of Margaret Ross, Mary Carson (Gerry Hooper) and Penny Ross. Loving grandmother of Craig, Carolyn and Derek Carson; David and Megan Hooper. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Ella's journey began 93 years ago in St. Jules de Cascapedia on the Gaspe coast. She became a successful and respected elementary school teacher, first in Arvida and later in Montreal. She spent her last years in Ottawa surrounded by her family. In her retirement, her passion for needlepoint resulted in a legacy of over 100 petit point pictures that grace the homes of her children and many others. Ella will be greatly missed, forever remembered and always loved but we are comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace. We would like to extend our profound thanks to Dr. John Russell and Dr. Lila Graham and the staff of St. Patrick's Home for the wonderful care they provided our mother. In particular, we would like to offer a special thank you to Blessing, Maria and Hanna for the care they provided over the past year. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Patrick's Home Chapel 2865 Riverside Dr. for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery.
