CULLEN, Norman Stanley. Born in Allan's Corners, Quebec, on February 24, 1925, Norman passed away peacefully at his home in North Saanich, British Columbia on November 7, 2005. He is predeceased by his son Brian; parents James and Grace and brothers Neil, William and Hugh. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Francoise; daughter Michele Russell (Brian); sons Wayne (Louise), Giles (Christina) and Ronald. He is also survived by two sisters: Jean Goodall, of Allan's Corners, Quebec and Ethel Thompson of Toronto and brothers Maxwell (Sadie), Robert (Barbara) and Harry (Jean) and five grandchildren: Mieke, Connor, Brenna, Griffin and Teagan as well as many nephews, nieces and related family. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gordon Henderson for his vigilant care and help in managing Norman's illness and also to the community nurses Jennifer, Kathy and Lynn for their compassion and the excellent palliative home care they provided. At his request, Norman's ashes will be taken to the family plot at the Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Quebec, and laid to rest next to his son, Brian. At a later date, a memorial service will be held for family and friends in Georgetown. With his easy and likeable nature, Norman touched many people in his life.
