SMITH, David R. As a result of ALS on Monday, November 21, 2005 at St. Vincent Hospital. David R. Smith, beloved brother of Dale and wife Bobby of Florida. Uncle of Michelle, Darren and Bryan Smith, all of Chicago. David was formerly Trainer of the Ottawa Rough Riders football team throughout the 70s and 80s and more recently teacher of CPR and survival skills with St. John's Ambulance in Ottawa. He will be fondly remembered by his work colleagues, his long time friends Richard and Vivian Spees, as well as numerous other good friends over the years. At his request, no funeral services.
