Patricia LAPORTE

NEWCOMEN, Patricia (nee Laporte). March 13, 1928 - November 21, 2005. After a full and wonderful life, and after a long and brave struggle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, November 21, at the West Island Palliative Care Residence, Kirkland, Quebec. Beloved wife of the late Terence Robert Gleadowe-Newcomen, gentle friend and loving mother of Terry, Sharon, Sandy and Patsy. She will be deeply missed by daughter-in-law Jenny who with Terry, lovingly watched over her and held her hand through the last year of her life, and by devoted sons-in-law, Peter, Larry and Brian. Loving grandmother of Jason, Kevin, Jonathon, Tyler, D'Arcy, Corey, Claire, Warren, Carlie, Jessica, Melissa and Brianna. Dear sister of Denise (Manny) and Lucille (Robert). She will be fondly remembered in Woodstock, Ontario, Alexandria, Ontario and Pincourt, Quebec by her many golf and bowling companions. A special thanks to the Vaudreuil/Dorion CLSC and to the doctors, nurses and volunteers at the West Island Palliative Care Residence for their care and kindness. A Memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Ile Perrot, 242 Fifth Avenue, Pincourt, Quebec. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence, 265 Andre Brunet, Kirkland, Quebec H9H 3R4, would be appreciated by the family.
