F. Wallace HILL

HILL, F. Wallace “Wally“ Wally was born in Swan River, Manitoba, August 3, 1919 and passed away November 24, 2005. He was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy, his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn are his wife Inez, three sons, Wilf (Joan), Dennis (Sylvia), Kingston Ontario; Greg (Penny), Arnprior, Ontario; one daughter, Diane (Gerry) Lemay, Belleville, Ont.; three stepdaughters, Val (Howard) Lawn, Lynne (Bruce) Horn, Saskatoon; Shelly (Charles) Jamieson, Renfrew, Ont.; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Fran (Bud) Little, Saskatoon, Florence (Art) Fee, Sooke, B.C.; several nieces and nephews. Wally served in the R.C.A.F. five years overseas in WWII. He joined the Army in 1951 to 1970 when he went into teaching at Renfrew, Ontario until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of 433 Champlain Wing, Refrew, Ontario, and the Royal Canadian Legion #63, Saskatoon. He enjoyed music, playing harmonica and guitar. He was a ham radio operator, VE5 DBX. Wally will be sadly missed, especially the stories he loved to tell. A Memorial Mass was held at St. Peter the Apostle, Northumberland Ave., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Tuesday November 29, 2005. Interment will take place in Renfrew, Ontatio at a later date. Special thanks to all staff 2nd floor, Stensrud Lodge, Saskatoon.
