HANSON, JOHN L. - The death of John L. Hanson of 12 Mitchell St., husband of Jacqueline (Cyr) Hanson, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, November 25, 2005. John was born in Saint John, a son of the late Walter and Sadie (London Hanson Hooley) Hanson. He had been employed in maintenance at the Park Plaza Motel for a number of years. He was well known throughout the city for his generosity and free spirit. He was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Duanne Shanks. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters Audrey Fisher of Sarnia, Ont., Doreen Shanks and Shirley Hanson, both of Saint John, and Irene Zizek (Drago) of London, On.; one aunt Audrey Toner of Saint John, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, followed by cremation.
