Edna Volk (née Prescott) July 22, 1916 - November 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mrs. Edna Volk aged 89 years, resident of Chealsea Park Nursing Home, London, Ontario passed away on November 24th, 2005. Born in Minnesota Edna grew up in Broadacres, Saskatchewan where she met and married Frank Volk in 1937 and they made their way to Fort William that same year. Frank predeceased her in 1986. Her main interests were her family, poem writing and being a member at the Free Methodist Church . Survived by her daughters Margaret (Rick) Krejcik of Thunder Bay and Karen (Garett) Grootenboer of London, enroute. 4 Grandchildren, a sister Agnes Wheatley of Dauphin, Manitoba and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank , 3 Brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7 until 9 P.M. in the Jenkens Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Edna Volk will be held on Tuesday November 29th, 2005 in the Jenkens Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Irving Dyck of T.B.C.F. church will officiate and interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery.
