Alice Kidd January 12, 1913 - November 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully, on Sunday, November 27, 2005 Alice Kidd, aged 92, passed away at Oakview Place. Alice was born January 12, 1913 in Winnipeg. She was the switchboard operator at the Winnipeg Free Press for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. Alice enjoyed bowling,bus tours and family get togethers. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Louisa Kidd; sister and brother-in-law, Ina and Scott Whitfield and brother-in-law Ken Taylor. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Louise Taylor; nieces, JoAnn Mensies (Willie), Marilee Desrosiers (Gerry), Sandra Taylor and Gwen Thompson (Dan); nephews, Allan and Donald Taylor as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A donation in memory of Alice to the Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, R2L 1X3 would be appreciated.
