Mrs. Mary "Ruth" Ruth Stockley April 23, 1918 - November 07, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Nanaimo) Her working life began as a Registered Nurse in Winnipeg for several years. During the war years she served in the Medical Corp as a nurse with the rank of Major. Ruth then moved to British Columbia. She worked with the V.O.N. then for many years as School Health Nurse in the Cedar/Ladysmith/Nanaimo area until her retirement. She was a Justice of the Peace, a great pianist, a writer and lovingly remembered by all who knew her in the A.C.W. and congregation at St.Philip’s Anglican Church, Cedar. A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Thursday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Cedar. Rev. Kyle Norman officiating.
