Arthur Carson Layton July 16, 1926 - November 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) LAYTON, Arthur Carson - 79, Dartmouth, passed away November 28, 2005, in Oakwood Terrace. Born in Great Village, Colchester Co., on July 16, 1926, he was a son of the late Raleigh and Flora (Flemming) Layton. Arthur was an electrical contractor as well as being involved with the Boy Scouts, St. Andrews Masonic Lodge, Gideons and the Golden K's. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ellen (McCabe); daughter, Susan "Sue" Wagner; grandchildren, Lee Lawson and Corinne Wagner; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Meredith), Great Village; Jack, Innisfail, Alta. He was predeceased by sons, Robert and Tom. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 17, in First Baptist Church, Ochterloney Street, Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Burial has been planned for the following day in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. No flowers by request.
