Mary Irene Babineau December 04, 1945 - December 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Mary Irene (Drew) Babineau age 59 of Amherst passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan NS. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Irene (Doncaster) Drew. Mary had a love for flowers, plants and enjoyed making crafts. She will also be missed by her special cat Patches. Mary liked to spend quality time at the farm in Centreville NB, and at Apple River with her family and friends. Mary enjoyed working at D&J Convenience for over 20 years on Croft Street, Amherst and she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in the Amherst Fire Department. She will be sadly missed by all those that knew her. Mary is survived by her husband Arthur; son Tony (Alicia) of Eastern Passage NS; two sisters Rhoda (John) Cogswell of Centreville NB, and Sylvia Drew of Moncton NB; three brothers Gilbert (Irma) Drew and Gordon (Kim) Drew both of Moncton NB and Jimmy (Karen) Drew of Maugerville NB; three granddaughters Deidre, MacKenzie and MacKaela as well as many nieces nephews and cousins. Her remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Saturday, December 3, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2005 from Campbell's Chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Morris Mills officiating. Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Victorian Order of Nurses, the Ladies Auxiliary Amherst Fire Department or the Canadian Cancer Society. www.campbells-amherst.
