Gladys Aldeen Smith (Thoms) (née Enright) Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on January 2, 2005 at the Grace Hospital, Aldeen passed away at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jim Thoms and Al Smith; and two brothers, Vern and Norm Enright. Aldeen is survived by her sister Joan (Bob) Tufts of Coaldale, AB; brother Bruce (Mary) Enright of Winnipeg, MB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Robinson and Dr. Hutfluss and all the staff at 4 South of the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Margaret O’Neil and Melanie McGerry for their dedicated support and care. In keeping with Aldeen’s request, there will be no formal service but a private family graveside will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. I’VE DONE MY WORK I’ve done my work; I’ve sung my song; I’ve done some good; I’ve done some wrong; And I shall go where I belong The Lord has willed it so. He knows my heart, and every thought. He knows what pain and joy I’ve brought His love I shall be taught, The way to him I know. He knows my soul, so weak and blind, So full of fears of mortal mind, And he will lead, and I shall find The way to Him, I know He guides my steps, and He knows best, He will not harm where He is blest, And so goodnight, I’ll take my rest Where sweet wild roses grow.
