BERNIER CLÉMENT – Des funérailles ont eu lieu le 27 janvier 2004 pour Clément Bernier de Mattice, décédé le 22 janvier à l'âge de 57 ans. Né à Hearst le 25 novembre 1946, il était écorceur de métier pour la compagnie Malette. Il a pris sa retraite en 1992. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Adrienne (Carrier), trois enfants : Diane (Michel Jomphe) de Mattice, Isabelle (Donald Tardif) de Hearst et Gérard (Manon) de Mattice, deux soeurs et six frères : Fernand (Yolande) de Geraldton, Cécile (Maurice Morin) de Hearst, Pierre (Louise) de Spruce Groove en Alberta, André (Carole) de Hearst, Jean-Guy (Kathy) de Dryden, Réal de Hearst, Rita (Raymond) Paul de Hearst et Albert de Kapuskasing, ses beaux-parents : Gérard et Amanda Carrier de Mattice, ainsi que six petits-enfants : Nadia, Éric, Miguel, Krystelle, Kevin et Agathe. La famille apprécierait des dons au Foyer des Pionniers. C'est le père René Grandmont qui a célébré le service funèbre. Funeral services for Mattice resident ClÈment Bernier, 57, of 184 Balmoral St. were held Jan. 27, 2004 following his death, Jan. 22, at Notre-Dame Hospital. Born Nov. 25, 1946 in Hearst, he was a Malette sawmill employee until 1992. He leaves his wife Adrienne (nÈe Carrier) Bernier of Mattice, daughters Diane (Michel Jomphe) Bernier of Mattice and Isabelle (Donald) Tardif of Hearst, and a son GÈrard (Manon Marcoux) Bernier of Mattice. Also surviving are his sisters CÈcile (Maurice) Morin and Rita (Raymond) Paul, all of Hearst, and brothers Fernand (Yollande) of Geraldton, Pierre (Louise) of Spruce Grove, Alberta, AndrÈ (Carole) and RÈal, all of Hearst, Jean-Guy (Kathy) of Dryden and Albert Bernier of Kapuskasing, granddaughters Nadia, Krystelle and Agathe, grandsons Eric, Miguel and Kevin, and in-laws Amanda and GÈrard Carrier of Mattice. Rev. RenÈ Grandmont was to direct the afternoon service at …glise St-FranÁois-Xavier. Interment will be at the St-FranÁois-Xavier Cemetery.
