Ferdinand J. CHAPPUS

CHAPPUS, Ferdinand J. Age 80 years, of Grand Rapids, Mich., passed away peacefully at his home early Thursday morning, Jan. 6, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Isabelle Chappus, his children Jarvis Chappus, Denis (Ann Chappus), Girarda (Gary Thack), Cheryl (Steven Bergen), Mary (David Beach). Also survived by 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Chappus in 1955. Dear brother of Mrs. Pauline Baldwin and Mrs. Monica Climie of Florida, Mrs. Marie Diotte of LaSalle and Richard of Windsor. Predeceased by brothers Thomas (1996), George (1991), Louis (1990), Ed (1989), Joe (1979), Paul (1971) and sisters Mrs. Marguerite Strawick (1985), Mrs. Jane Reaume (1988) and Mrs. Bernadette Dekker (1997). Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 2005 at 11 am. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2230 Lake Michigan Drive, NW, in Grand Rapids, Mich. Friends and relatives may meet his family at the church from 10am. until time of the Mass. Burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Published in the Windsor Star on 1/8/2005.
